Develop trademark guidance and co-create labelling solutions with reputable financial sector actors to allow sustainable finance instruments to rely on Ecosystem Services claims and possibly FSC labels.

Promote responsible forest management for supply of forest material, e.g. from Africa or the Pacific to China.

Work with NGOs, umbrella organisations, and progressive businesses to ensure that mandatory and voluntary measures work hand in hand to achieve the EU Green Deal objectives.

Encourage and support government initiatives on fiscal and other economic incentives for Sustainable Forest Management to promote and scale up FSC certification to achieve positive outcomes.

Develop FSC’s value proposition for governments and scale up national-level actions (e.g. Gabon) in selected high-potential countries.

Set up on-the-ground collaborations and projects using FSC tools at a landscape level to scale up social, environmental, and economic benefits from improved forest and landscape practices.  

Augment FSC’s profile and relevance with key players as a solutions provider defining and contributing to the global forest agenda. 

Identify and activate key partnerships to support the achievement of FSC’s Global Strategy.
