Los miembros de FSC proponen mociones para priorizar cuestiones o ideas importantes para el desarrollo de FSC. Una moción es una propuesta para cambiar o crear una política o un estatuto FSC a través de la discusión, el debate y la votación de los miembros. Presentar una moción es una de las acciones más importantes que puede llevar a cabo un miembro de FSC. Las mociones estatutarias son propuestas para enmendar los Estatutos o los Principios y Criterios de FSC, mientras que las mociones de política son propuestas para enmendar las políticas o los procedimientos operativos de FSC.
El FSC invita a todos los actores sociales a participar en webinars informativos (dos sesiones idénticas para facilitar la participación para distintos husos horarios), los cuales tendrán lugar en estas fechas.

Las «Mociones en Movimiento» son reuniones globales de los miembros, que ofrecen un espacio dedicado a los debates entre cámaras en torno a todas las mociones estatutarias y las cinco principales mociones políticas de cada cámara. Es un espacio para la negociación, la fusión, el perfeccionamiento y las enmiendas en relación con los análisis de viabilidad del Secretariado y la retroalimentación de los miembros.
Se estudiará el cambio hacia un enfoque de certificación más orientado a los resultados, que asegure que la conformidad con la normativa FSC se traduce en impactos positivos cuantificables en los bosques y las comunidades.
