El Consejo Directivo del Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) aprobó, por consenso, el Marco FSC para la Remediación (FSC-PRO-01-007), en una reunión virtual celebrada el 14 de diciembre de 2022. Con esta aprobación, el Marco FSC para la Remediación se publicará en marzo y entrará en vigor a partir del 1º de julio de 2023.
Después de tres días de intensas deliberaciones, el Consejo Directivo de FSC Internacional apoyó, por consenso, un paquete de documentos que definen el enfoque del FSC para abordar la conversión de bosques y asegurar la remediación de los daños sociales y ambientales hechos en el pasado. Esta decisión fue tomada durante la 93ª Reunión del Consejo Directivo que tuvo lugar en Oaxaca, México, entre el 24 al 26 de agosto de 2022.
