El FSC está buscando candidatos para un grupo de trabajo técnico que revise sus Criterios de Elegibilidad para Bosques Pequeños y de Baja Intensidad (SLIMF) (FSC-STD-01-003). La convocatoria de candidatos se ha ampliado hasta el 15 de agosto de 2021.
FSC-PRO-01-001 proporciona los pasos del proceso para el desarrollo, revisión, modificación y retiro de todos los documentos normativos internacionales y está abierto a consulta hasta el 7 de enero de 2022 a través de laplataformaFSC de consultas.

Estamos buscando a un grupo de entre tres y cinco actores sociales para desarrollar una propuesta encaminada a estandarizar las comunicaciones sobre madera controlada en la etiqueta FSC Mixto y en las declaratorias promocionales para titulares de certificados FSC. La fecha límite para presentar solicitudes es el 18 de noviembre.
Muchísimo es lo que está sucediendo en el FSC en cuando a innovaciones. Estamos explorando tecnologías de identificación de madera para mejorar el seguimiento, construyendo una nueva herramienta para detectar a malos actores antes de que ingresen al sistema FSC, desarrollando un sistema basado en blockchains (cadenas de bloques) para rastrear operaciones de materiales certificados FSC en tiempo real y mucho más.
El FSC organizará dos webinars básicos que cubrirán los cambios introducidos en los requisitos de certificación FSC de Cadena de Custodia debidos a la inclusión de los Requisitos Laborales Fundamentales del FSC.
Este seminario web sólo abarcará los conceptos básicos, ya que un próximo seminario web cubrirá la revisión técnica de los nuevos requisitos.
Esta primera versión del Estándar de Manejo Forestal Responsable del FSC para Ecuador es aplicable a todas las categorías de unidades de manejo que operan en bosques naturales y plantaciones y entra en vigor el 1 de noviembre de 2022.
La nueva ronda de verificación de operaciones de okoumé abarcará las declaraciones FSC hechas entre 1º de enero de 2019 y el 31 de diciembre de 2019. La fecha límite para que los titulares de certificados presenten los datos solicitados de la verificación de operaciones es el 29 de septiembre de 2020.

FSC Remedy Framework defines permanent and effective measures required for remedy of harm caused by unacceptable activities as defined by the Policy for the Association of Organizations with FSC V2-0 or by conversion between 1 December 1994 and 31 December 2020.
Depending on when the unacceptable activity occurs/occurred, FSC will determine which policy version is used as the point of reference. If the unacceptable activity occurred prior to 2023, version 2-0 of the policy will be applied, whereas if the unacceptable activity occurs in 2023 or beyond, version 3-0 of the Policy for Association will be applied. It defines six unacceptable activities that associated individuals and organizations and their corporate group commit to avoid in both certified and non-certified operations. The Policy for Association serves as a risk management tool for FSC, protecting the credibility and reputation of the FSC brand and organizations associated with it.
The objective of this standard is to provide the requirements for FSC-accredited certification bodies to assess conformity of The Organization against applicable requirements of the FSC normative
framework with regards to forest management certification, as well as reporting and decision making.

The objective of this document is to specify the requirements for FSC-accredited certification bodies for developing Interim National Standard (INS) or Interim Regional Standard (IRS), depending on the geographic scope of the standard, for the certification of responsible forest management and the responsible management of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) at the Management Unit (MU) level. These standards shall be based on the International Generic Indicators (IGI) and shall address the regional, national or sub-national conditions in which they are to be used and shall consider input from local stakeholders. The FSC Board of Directors at FSC International, acting through the Policy Steering Group (PSG) shall approve Interim National Standards (INS) before they can be used for FSC certification purposes. In March 2020 the revised procedure was published to reflect the FSC Board of Directors’ decision during their 82nd meeting to delegate the approval of INS to the Policy Steering Group.
