Para muchas empresas y consumidores de Europa y Norteamérica, la idea de comprar algo hecho de madera procedente de bosques tropicales evoca imágenes de bosques desprotegidos por la tala ilegal, y de la amenaza constante para muchas especies exóticas de animales, aves y plantas. Pero, ¿sabía que la compra de productos de madera tropical certificada podría de hecho garantizar que el bosque y todo lo este conlleva en sí se mantenga durante décadas y décadas?
La agenda final del próximo Foro de Soluciones para la Intensificación Sostenible, que tendrá lugar en Bonn, Alemania, del 24 al 26 de junio de 2019, ya está disponible para todos los miembros internacionales.
En cuanto que iniciativa conformada por múltiples actores sociales, FSC se apoya en su diversa gama de partes interesadas para ayudar a asegurar la aplicabilidad, eficiencia e integridad de nuestro sistema de certificación global. Actualmente, contamos con varios documentos disponibles para consulta pública que cambiarán componentes clave del sistema FSC y queremos pedirle su opinión a través de la Plataforma de Consulta FSC.
Las propuestas del grupo de trabajo técnico responsable de revisar el texto de la etiqueta FSC Mixto y desarrollar comunicaciones sobre la madera controlada ya están disponibles para consulta pública. La fecha límite para participar es el 6 de abril de 2020.
