El área certificada por el FSC en el Perú ha llegado a 1,087,349 de hectáreas de manejo forestal certificadas FSC a principios de 2020.

El FSC está implementando cambios en su Política para la Asociación (FSC-POL-01-004) (PfA, por sus siglas en inglés). Los cambios incorporados mediante la versión 3 de la PfA (PfA v3) fueron aprobados por el Consejo Directivo (en apego a sus facultades estatutarias para definir y emitir la PfA) y entrarán en vigor el 1 de enero de 2023.
