"Motions in Motion" are global membership meetings, providing a dedicated space for cross chamber discussions around all statutory motions and each chamber’s top five policy motions. It is a space for negotiation, merging, refinement, and amendments in relation to secretariat feasibility analyses and members’ feedback.

FSC Members propose motions to prioritize issues or ideas that are important for the development of FSC. A motion is a proposal to change or create an FSC Policy or Statute through member discussion, debate and voting. Submitting a motion is one of the most important actions an FSC member can take. Statutory motions are proposals to amend the FSC Statutes or Principles & Criteria while Policy motions are proposals for amendments to FSC policies or operational procedures.

FSC invites all Promotional Licence Holders to help shape the future of the Trademark Use Guide by completing a short survey
FSC is seeking candidates for a technical working group to revise its Forest Management Evaluations Standard (FSC-STD-20-007) and its associated addenda. The call for applicants is open until 20 November 2020.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is delighted to invite you to join its High-Level Conference: Launching FSC’s Global Strategy 2021-2026 – Demonstrating the Value and Benefits of Forest Stewardship, which will take place on 9 December, 2020.
The new round of transaction verification for okoume will cover FSC claims made between 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019. The deadline for certificate holders to submit requested transaction verification data is 29 September 2020.
Bukut Muria Jaya – a subsidiary of the Djarum Group - withdrew its FSC certificate and that has ended the association between FSC and the Djarum Group.
As mandated in the FSC Statutes, FSC has used the UNDP Human Development Index (HDI) Report to determine membership allocation to either the South or North sub-chambers.
FSC is extending a call for applications until 14 April 2020. We are still seeking candidates for a technical working group to develop a risk-based approaches (RBA) assurance system for forest management certification. They will also finalize the revision of the RBA procedure and guideline.
In preparation for the FSC General Assembly 2017, FSC International members are invited to attend FSC regional meetings.
FSC is updating the Lists of FSC Highly Hazardous Pesticides based on the existing criteria, indicators, thresholds and sources through an accelerated revision process as described in FSC-PRO-01-001 The Development and Revision of FSC Requirements.
FSC digital audit reports for forest management are now ready for auditors around the globe to start training on the use of them. Use of the system will become mandatory for all forest management audits conducted from January 2021 onwards.
