In this webinar, members had the chance to ask the candidates questions, ask about their position on relevant topics, and their vision for the future of FSC under their leadership.

These global meetings amongst international members kicked-off motion discussions. It included the presentation of the highest-ranked motions resulting from the discussion prioritization exercise completed by the membership in early September. We showcased the survey results, followed by an introduction of the highest-ranked motions by chamber and a lively discussion with the motion proposers.
In these global discussions, members had the opportunity to discuss with the motion proposers of the two highest-ranking motions by chamber:

FSC-PRO-30-006 Ecosystem Services Procedure sets out the requirements for FSC-certified forest managers to demonstrate the impact of their activities on the maintenance or enhancement of ecosystem services and improves their access to markets. FSC invites you to participate in the first public consultation of the revised draft procedure from 16 January – 17 March 2023 via the FSC Consultation Platform.

After three days of intense deliberations, the FSC International Board of Directors supported, by consensus, a package of documents that define FSC’s approach to tackling conversion and ensuring remedy of past social and environmental harm. This decision was made during the 93rd Board Meeting that took place in Oaxaca, Mexico on 24-26 August 2022.
An updated version of the International Generic Indicators (IGI) (FSC-STD-60-004) aligned with the recently published FSC Principles and Criteria V5-3 and including new IGI for highly hazardous pesticides is published. The related addendum to the Pesticides Policy is available now too.
