What is a Motion Pitch Express? A focused space for Policy Motions that were not prioritised for discussion in previous sessions to be heard. The total duration will be 60 minutes.
Each proposer will have 2 minutes to present:

The final results of the Mangifera and Dalbergia wood species transaction verification loop (TV loop) highlight a number of supply chain integrity concerns pertaining to FSC certificate holders, specifically from India. The main findings include fraudulent documentation and large volumes of false claims.
FSC is happy to share with its members updates about four system development components critical for the implementation of the FSC Remedy Framework, showcasing FSC International’s work in developing these systems over the last year.
Biodiversity decline will increasingly get public and political attention over the next 18 months. Unfortunately, forest certification might not be highlighted as a solution to the problem. To avoid being overlooked as part of the solution, FSC will ensure that its contributions to biodiversity protection and ecosystem services support are well known nationally and internationally. Our work is relevant for future discussions that will take place on this topic.
Ukraine has significant forest areas with high environmental, social and economic value. But for years, its forestry sector has battled with critical issues, including corruption, that directly impact the country’s forests.
The Cantabrian brown bear – one of the last native bear species in western Europe – is in danger of extinction. In its home region of Asturias in north-west Spain, the Asturian Wildlife Protection Fund (abbreviated as ‘FAPAS’ in Spanish) is improving the bear’s habitat to preserve the species, while highlighting the value of its home forests.
Two Italian entities publicly owning forests in the regions of Lombardy and Tuscany have used the FSC Ecosystem Services Procedure to prove their positive impacts related to carbon sequestration, watershed quality and recreational services.
