In this session, we launched the agenda for the Motion Discussions in 2022 and we presented the results of the Prioritization Survey for the discussion of FSC Policy Motions 2022.

In both global events, we presented the voting prioritization survey results, the agenda for the launch of the Statutory Requirements, an overview of all the motion discussions in 2020/2021, and the next steps of the motions process. Additionally, members were able to ask questions regarding the upcoming activities towards the Virtual GA 2021.

A revised New Zealand FSC Forest Stewardship Standard has been published and is effective on 15 April 2023.
The FSC International Board of Directors (BoD) has delegated the approval of some national standards to a new body in the FSC Secretariat and revised the deadline to incorporate the international generic indicators (IGIs) V2-0 into national standards.
The first draft of the FSC Conversion Remedy Procedure (FSC-PRO-01-007 V1-0 D1-0) will be available for a public consultation from 1 April to 31 May 2020 and will be accessible here.

In preparation for the FSC General Assembly in 2021, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is preparing knowledge papers, summarizing developments in topics of importance to discussions in FSC’s membership.
The FSC Remedy Framework consultation will now start in mid-March 2022 and stay open for 60 days (until mid-May), instead of opening in February as originally planned.
