This is a sad time for the FSC family as we mourn the loss of Jaime Levy, world renowned advocate for the rights of indigenous peoples and a past member of FSC’s International Board of Directors.
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Board of Directors has decided to hold the next FSC general assembly in Panama City, Panama, from 26–31 October 2025.
In 2021, six members of the FSC International Board of Directors will be replaced (or re-elected). FSC International is calling for candidates to nominate themselves by 31 January.
Online voting for the 2021 Board Election opened on 5 July and will close on 11 September.
The Motions process is now in progress, and with the submission deadline of 31 January 2025 fast approaching, we are reaching out to highlight key governance issues would benefit from statutory amendments and to invite your collaboration in addressing them.
FSC plays an important role in addressing two interconnected global challenges, climate change and biodiversity loss, by promoting responsible forest management, including conservation and restoration, and offering solutions for a more sustainable and resilient future.
The early bird registration period for the FSC General Assembly 2025 is currently open and will close on 30 June 2025.
