These global meetings amongst international members kicked-off motion discussions. It included the presentation of the highest-ranked motions resulting from the discussion prioritization exercise completed by the membership in early September. We showcased the survey results, followed by an introduction of the highest-ranked motions by chamber and a lively discussion with the motion proposers.
In these global discussions, members had the opportunity to discuss with the motion proposers of the two highest-ranking motions by chamber:

In December 2023, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) lifted the blockage that was placed on An Viet Phat Energy in 2022 for making false claims on a large volume of wood pellets they sold.
FSC-PRO-30-006 Ecosystem Services Procedure sets out the requirements for FSC-certified forest managers to demonstrate the impact of their activities on the maintenance or enhancement of ecosystem services and improves their access to markets. FSC invites you to participate in the first public consultation of the revised draft procedure from 16 January – 17 March 2023 via the FSC Consultation Platform.
FSC members are invited to take part in a 30-day consultation on the second draft of the updated FSC Global Strategy 2021-2026, starting on 4 September.
