The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) has published a new Advice Note that is applicable for corporate groups that have been disassociated from FSC or are seeking to associate with FSC after violating provisions of the Policy for Association (PfA), version 2.
This advice note regulates how changes to FSC Principles and Criteria and International Generic Indicators affect certificate holders until the relevant requirements have been incorporated into the relevant Forest Stewardship Standard (FSS).
FSC decided to launch a third public consultation to further develop and finalize FSC Policy on Conversion. The 60-day consultation is available through the FSC consultation platform until 6 November 2020.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is seeking candidates for a chamber-balanced subgroup that will be part of the Working Group revising the requirements for the development and maintenance of FSC Country Requirements: Forest Stewardship Standards (FSS) and FSC Risk Assessments (procedures FSC-PRO-60-006 and FSC-PRO-60-006a).
Publication date: 1 February 2023
Effective date: 1 July 2023
End of transition period: 31 December 2024
The following requirements aim to ensure that the certification body decision making entity has sufficient information on which to base its decisions with respect to conformity with FSC forest stewardship standards, and to help FSC ensure that there is consistency in decision making between different certification bodies.
