The FSC Board of Directors is mandated by the FSC AC statutes to manage the organization. The board of directors is the highest decision-making body in the organization after the FSC General Assembly (which is the supreme authority of the organization), being elected by the FSC membership to guide and provide oversight to the organization.
Members propose motions to prioritise issues or ideas that are important for the development of FSC. A motion is a proposal to change or create a FSC Policy or Statute through member discussion, debate and voting. Statutory motions are proposals to amend the FSC Statutes or Principles & Criteria. Policy motions are proposals for amendments to FSC policies or operational procedures. Use the filter tool to view motion by status.

The FSC Global Strategy 2021-2026 focuses on growing our reach by demonstrating the value and benefits of forest stewardship in combatting these challenges and achieving our 2050 vision of resilient forests sustaining life on earth.

FSC has published a revised version of ADVICE-20-007-18 V2-0 to reflect the interim measures related to IFLs protection requested by Motion 23:2020 at the FSC General Assembly in Bali (Indonesia).
