FSC Members propose motions to prioritize issues or ideas that are important for the development of FSC. A motion is a proposal to change or create an FSC Policy or Statute through member discussion, debate and voting. Submitting a motion is one of the most important actions an FSC member can take. Statutory motions are proposals to amend the FSC Statutes or Principles & Criteria while Policy motions are proposals for amendments to FSC policies or operational procedures.

It is a space for negotiation, merging, refinement, and amendments in relation to secretariat feasibility analyses and members’ feedback.

23 July 2020 (Bonn, Germany) – The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) confirms Perechin’s FSC certificate remains terminated.
“Supporting responsible forestry” is the new text of the MIX label. The new label will be launched in January 2022 with a transition period of 2.5 years.
FSC will introduce worldwide transaction verification for the Mangifera and Dalbergia supply chains from 1 July until 30 August 2020.
The FSC-STD-01-003 SLIMF and Community Forest Eligibility Criteria is open for public consultation from 14 April 2022 to 13 June 2022. This second version of the standard now includes a definition for community forest and increases the flexibility of local adaptation of small or low intensity managed forest (SLIMF) and community forest criteria.
